DoEmploy Marketplace

Terms of ServicePrivacy Policy

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Domestic Employment Ltd, of 1 HaShaldag Street, Elyachin 3890800, State of Israel (“Domestic Employment”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the DoEmploy Marketplace website, mobile applications, localized pages and related marketplace services (together, the “Marketplace”).

By creating an account, publishing or responding to a listing, contacting another user or otherwise using the Marketplace, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Marketplace. If you use the Marketplace for a company or another legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Marketplace. You may use an employer account to look for domestic professionals or a worker account to look for work, subject to the account options available in your location.

You must provide accurate, complete and current information, choose the correct account type, keep your credentials confidential and not create a misleading, duplicate or impersonating account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to protect the Marketplace. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Our role as a marketplace

DoEmploy provides a place for households and domestic professionals to discover one another, publish and search listings, exchange messages and discuss possible work. Domestic Employment is not an employer, employment agency, recruiter, temporary-work agency or party to any employment, service or other agreement made between users.

Users decide whether to contact, interview or engage one another and agree their own duties, hours, location, compensation and other conditions. We do not direct or supervise work, pay wages, withhold or remit taxes or contributions, provide insurance, or guarantee that a user will find a suitable match. A separate product may offer payroll tools, but that does not make Domestic Employment a party to the working relationship.

4. Profiles, listings and other user content

You are responsible for profiles, job listings, messages, images, reviews and other content you submit (“User Content”). You confirm that your User Content is accurate, lawful, relevant to the Marketplace, does not infringe another person’s rights and does not contain information you lack the right to disclose.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, translate, format, display and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure, improve and promote the Marketplace. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup retention, content already shared with other users and material we must retain for legal, safety or dispute purposes.

We may review, restrict, remove or decline to publish User Content that violates these Terms, creates a safety or legal risk, or is not suitable for the Marketplace. We do not undertake to monitor every listing or message and are not responsible for User Content merely because it appears on the Marketplace.

5. Hiring and work responsibilities

Each user is responsible for assessing other users and deciding whether to enter a working relationship. Employers should conduct appropriate interviews and checks, and workers should assess the role, location and household before accepting work.

Employers are solely responsible for:

  • using lawful, accurate and non-discriminatory listings and selection practices;
  • confirming identity, experience, references and suitability to the extent appropriate;
  • providing a safe workplace and all notices, equipment and protections required by law;
  • agreeing lawful pay, hours, leave and other employment conditions;
  • preparing contracts and registrations and paying wages, taxes, social-security contributions, insurance and other amounts when due; and
  • complying with immigration, employment, tax, health-and-safety and domestic-work rules that apply to the relationship.

Workers are responsible for accurately presenting their identity, experience, qualifications, availability and right to work, and for performing any accepted work lawfully and with reasonable care. The Marketplace does not provide legal, tax, immigration, employment or safety advice.

6. Safety and verification

We may make reporting, profile-review, identity or other trust features available. A badge, review or completed check is based on limited information and is not an endorsement, guarantee, background check or assurance that a person is safe, qualified or suitable.

Use reasonable caution, protect personal and financial information, meet in an appropriate setting and do not send money or identity documents in response to suspicious requests. Report suspected fraud, abuse, exploitation or unsafe conduct to us. Contact local emergency services or law enforcement when immediate help is needed.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Marketplace to:

  • break any applicable law or encourage unlawful, exploitative or unsafe work;
  • discriminate unlawfully, harass, threaten, defame, deceive or impersonate another person;
  • publish false jobs or profiles, solicit advance-fee payments, facilitate trafficking or commit fraud;
  • collect, disclose or misuse another user’s personal information;
  • send spam, unrelated commercial messages or automated solicitations;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Marketplace or another user;
  • probe, bypass or defeat security, moderation or access controls;
  • scrape, index, copy, resell or exploit Marketplace data or content without our written permission; or
  • reverse engineer the Marketplace except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

You may use contact details obtained through the Marketplace only for the legitimate opportunity for which they were shared. You must respect another user’s decision to end a conversation.

8. Fees, subscriptions and payments

Some Marketplace features may require a fee or subscription. The price, currency, billing period, renewal terms, trial (if any) and included features will be shown before purchase. If payment is made through an app store or another payment provider, that provider’s payment and refund terms also apply.

Recurring subscriptions renew until cancelled as explained at purchase. Deleting an account or application does not automatically cancel a subscription handled by a third-party store. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable after the paid service has been supplied.

Compensation for domestic work is agreed and paid directly between users. We do not take a commission from wages agreed between users and are not responsible for collecting or guaranteeing those payments unless a feature expressly states otherwise.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Marketplace handles, why it is used, when it may be shared and the choices available to you. Some profile and listing information is intended to be visible to other users or the public, as explained when you submit it.

10. Our intellectual property

The Marketplace—including its software, design, branding, text and non-user content—is owned by Domestic Employment or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Marketplace for its intended personal or internal business purposes.

If you send suggestions or other feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but you are not required to provide feedback.

11. Third-party services and links

The Marketplace may rely on or link to third-party services, including authentication, maps, communications, analytics, hosting, app stores and payment providers. Their services may be subject to separate terms. We are not responsible for a third-party service we do not control, but this does not limit responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Suspension, termination and deletion

You may stop using the Marketplace at any time and may request account deletion by emailing [email protected]. We may restrict or suspend access, remove content or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Marketplace, investigate misuse, comply with law, address non-payment or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

Provisions that by their nature should continue—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute provisions—survive termination.

13. Availability and changes to the Marketplace

We aim to keep the Marketplace available and useful, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security incidents, network failures and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability. We may improve, change, replace or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including for security, legal compliance or product quality.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Marketplace is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant the identity, background, conduct, availability, qualifications, statements or suitability of any user, listing or opportunity, or that a user will enter or successfully complete a working relationship.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Domestic Employment and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from the Marketplace or an interaction or agreement between users.

Our aggregate liability arising out of the Marketplace will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Marketplace during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100. These limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Indemnity

If you use the Marketplace for a business, you agree to defend and indemnify Domestic Employment against third-party claims resulting from your unlawful use of the Marketplace, your User Content, your employment or service relationship with another user, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by us and does not apply to consumers where prohibited by law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Israel will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory consumer or employment law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or provides other non-waivable protections.

Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using an eligible small-claims process.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Marketplace, law or our operations. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Marketplace or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Marketplace.

19. General

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganisation, asset sale or transfer of the Marketplace. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and applicable purchase terms form the entire agreement about the Marketplace.
