1. Scope and who is responsible
This Privacy Policy applies to the DoEmploy Marketplace website, mobile applications, localized pages and related marketplace services (together, the “Marketplace”). It explains how personal information is handled when households and domestic professionals create accounts, publish or search profiles and listings, exchange messages or otherwise use the Marketplace.
Domestic Employment Ltd, of 1 HaShaldag Street, Elyachin 3890800, State of Israel, is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. You can contact us at [email protected]. DoEmploy Payroll & Attendance and WorkLedger have separate privacy notices for their own services.

Information from other sources
If you use a third-party sign-in option, the provider may share basic account information such as your name, email address and account identifier according to your settings with that provider. Other users may also provide information about you in a message, review, reference or safety report.
3. Public profiles, listings and sharing with users
The Marketplace is designed to help people discover and contact one another. Depending on your account type, settings and the feature you use, profile or listing details may be visible to signed-in users or publicly accessible and may appear in search-engine results. This can include a profile image, first name, general location, experience, services, availability, listing details and other information you choose to publish.
Messages are shared with their recipients. Contact details or more precise information are shared when you provide them or use a feature intended to reveal them. Avoid publishing home addresses, identity documents, financial details, sensitive personal information or anything else that is not necessary for finding work or a domestic professional.
4. Why we use information
We use personal information to:
- create accounts, authenticate users and provide the Marketplace;
- publish profiles and listings and return relevant search results;
- enable messaging and other connections between users;
- personalize language, location and Marketplace features;
- manage subscriptions and confirm purchase entitlements;
- provide support and respond to privacy or safety requests;
- send account, service, security and transactional notices;
- maintain, troubleshoot, analyse and improve performance and usability;
- moderate content and detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, exploitation and security incidents;
- comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
- send marketing where permitted and with any consent required by law.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use the contents of private messages to target third-party advertising.
5. Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Contract: processing needed to create your account and provide the Marketplace you request.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, moderating, understanding and improving the Marketplace; preventing misuse; and communicating with users, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: processing required to comply with law, valid legal requests, tax or accounting rules, and the protection of legal rights.
- Consent: optional device permissions, certain cookies, precise location or marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Marketplace may use cookies, local storage, software development kits and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember settings, protect accounts, prevent fraud, understand use and improve performance. Some are necessary for the Marketplace to function; others, such as optional analytics or marketing technologies, are used in accordance with the choices and notices provided in your location.
You can control cookies through available Marketplace controls and your browser or device settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent some features from working correctly.
7. When information is shared
We may share information with:
- Other users and the public: as described in the profile, listing, messaging and sharing features you use.
- Service providers: vendors that provide cloud hosting, databases, file storage, authentication, maps, search, messaging, notifications, analytics, payment support, customer support, content moderation and security. They process information for us under contractual safeguards.
- App stores and payment providers: to distribute the application, process purchases, validate subscriptions, prevent fraud and handle payment support.
- Professional advisers and authorities: where needed for legal advice, audit, compliance, protection of users or rights, or to respond to a valid legal request.
- Business transactions: a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganisation or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection measures.
We may also share information at your direction or with your consent, and may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
8. International transfers
We are based in Israel and use service providers that may process information in Israel, the European Economic Area, the United States and other countries. Privacy laws differ between countries. Where required, we use recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual, organisational or technical safeguards designed to protect transferred information.
9. How long information is kept
We keep account, profile, listing and message information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Marketplace. Retention periods also depend on the type of information, whether another user needs continued access to a message, and legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety and dispute-resolution requirements.
After a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify active account data without undue delay, subject to information that must be retained for the reasons above. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups and are removed as backups rotate. We may keep de-identified statistics that can no longer reasonably be linked to you.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access or receive a copy of personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete personal information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- complain to a data-protection authority.
You may be able to update profile information and visibility through your account. You can change app permissions in device settings and unsubscribe from marketing using the link in the message. Essential account, safety, security and service notices cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country; users in Italy may contact the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
11. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your Marketplace account and associated personal information by emailing [email protected] from the address connected to the account. We may ask for information needed to verify the request. Deleting an app from a device does not delete your account, and deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by an app store or other payment provider.
12. Security
We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted transmission and monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, controlling what you publish and keeping your devices secure.
13. Children
The Marketplace is not directed to children and may be used only by people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Third-party links and services
The Marketplace may link to websites, applications or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing personal information to a third party.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. We will publish the new version with an updated effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice through the Marketplace or by email where appropriate.
